Perranuthnoe

Perranuthnoe lies on the south-west coast of Cornwall around three miles from Penzance and one and a half miles from Marazion and St. Michael’s Mount. Its name comes from St. Piran, one of the fifteen Cornish saints and patron saint of Cornwall, and “Uthnoe Veor” a farmstead not 100m from the house. The village itself dates back to the Domesday Book.

There is an excellent village pub, two great cafés and various artisan shops. The beach is popular with locals and never particularly crowded as parking in the village is limited. A lifeguard is present during the Summer months and dogs can use the beach year round, though times are limited during the peak holiday season.

The Cornish section of the South West Coast Path passes through the village and the beach; adjacent coves offer extraordinary views, swimming, surfing, rock-pooling and idling.
